This collection consists of photographs by Jerry Cleveland of historic houses in Boulder taken for use in Jane Barker's books "76 Historic Homes of Boulder, Colorado" and " Historic Homes of Boulder County", and for a regular feature on historic houses which appeared in the Focus section of the Boulder Daily Camera. Also 1 portrait photograph of Francis Reich; 1 composite group portrait of the K.E.G. Club, 1932; and 1 photo of the house at 655 12th Street.

Margaret Read was the first woman architect in Boulder. She was born in Iowa, spent her childhood in Missouri, and moved to Boulder with her family in 1910. She attended the University of Colorado for two years, transferred to the University of California, and after graduation her first solo project was the house at 740 13th Street which she built for herself and her elderly father.
